Overview

Bertelsmann is looking for a bright Human Resources Generalist to join our team. We are a rapidly growing global organization that offers a great opportunity for someone interested in further developing their HR career. The Generalist will have responsibility in many areas of HR supporting our New York office as well as our Subsidiary Companies within the United States, under the guidance of the Manager, Human Resources.

 

The Human Resources Generalist is part of the Benefits & Human Resources team, which has responsibility for many areas of HR supporting our New York office as well as our subsidiary companies within the United States, including Straightaway Health Careers, BMG, FremantleMedia, smaller holdings, and new acquisitions.

  

Role and Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage recruitment process while providing excellent customer service and data metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop creative strategies to find talent.
  • Responsible for the onboarding experience, including coordinating with IT, security, operations, and conducting orientation for new employees while creating a welcoming and engaging candidate experience.
  • Ensure proper document retention in accordance with statutory and internal business practices.
  • Respond to HR inquiries.
  • Manage the company intranet.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of work experience; Experience recruiting for healthcare or software as a service is preferred \
  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience required; SHRM certification preferred; Insights certification preferred
  • Must have strong analytical capability and the ability to work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation
  • Solid interpersonal skills and client service orientation with focus on high quality service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate information across a large organization
  • Must be flexible; have the ability to work independently or as a team player in a fast paced and decentralized environment
  • This candidate must be a self-starter with strict attention to detail and the ability to multi-task a variety of assignments seeing each to resolution
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
