This position is responsible for full scope Human Resource Generalist accountabilities that also functions in a shared services capacity. Partners to support HR programs and processes in alignment with HR strategy and business objectives to exceed customer expectations and meet business financial commitments. This will include delivering efficiencies through standard work and process and cross-functional collaboration ensure the interests and objectives of the HR function are well understood and properly aligned with the business. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

Employee Relations    

  • Partner with the business to be the primary HR first point of contact onsite and provide support as necessary   
  • Guide site with communications, training and coaching on how to interpret and apply HR policies and procedures especially in core areas of interest such as time and attendance, performance evaluations / disciplinary action, pay and benefits   
  • Respond to and resolve employee relation issues through conducting investigations, and providing recommendations/resolutions to corrective action   
  • Answer employee questions on a variety of HR topics including performance evaluations, compensation, company culture, benefits, and payroll. Solve problems for employees while representing the company's interests   
  • Interpret & apply HR polices & procedures. Participate in communication with site regarding policy, procedure, and employee relations issues.

HR Programs and Initiatives    

  • Lead owner of the roll-out and implementation of HR programs and initiatives including Open Enrollment, Service Award Program, Town Hall Events, and other Corporate Events   
  • Key contributor to development and owner of SOP development for HR programs and initiatives including Performance Management, Merit Review, Incentive Plans, Goals and Objectives, Rewards and Recognition, and Community Service Engagement    

Benefits and Compensation    

  • Ensure job description accuracy by updating job descriptions as roles evolve and by applying FLSA exemption tests   
  • Manage benefits open enrollment and communication materials across all business units   
  • Field and resolve benefit questions from employees, as needed    


  • Own the requisition process from conception to system processing through internal and external posting, applicant flow and referral program
  • Proactively source viable candidates aligned with targeted experience and requirements resulting in robust candidate funnels and hire of Top Talent across the business   
  • Ensure job description accuracy including updating job descriptions as roles evolve   
  • Benchmark positions to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity and affordability is aligned   
  • Lead owner of candidate scheduling, including travel and logistics   
  • Conduct phone screens, interviews and reference calls    

 Preboarding, Onboarding and Offboarding   

  • Develop and process offer proposals and offer letters   
  • Partner with hiring manager to present offers of employment   
  • Initiate and track background and drug screenings pre-employment   
  • Ensure Business Orientation and Training Plans are developed, robust and aligned with expectations with final completion prior to new hire first day   
  • Onboard all new hires on day one  
  • Draft new hire organizational announcements  
  • Conduct exit interviews as required    

 Training and Development   

  • Partner with the site in setting Goals and Objectives for all employees upon hire and on an annual basis   
  • Lead HR appropriate trainings across the business    

Compliance and Reporting   

  • Assemble and ensure data quality for external government reports, including AAP, EEO-1, Vets 100, and internal reports on metrics    

Leave Management    

  • Own LOA management including employee education, document preparation, updating HRIS and tracking leave through to completion    

HR Systems and Data Integrity   

  • Encourage and support employee self-service, where available. Where not available, insure accurate and timely entry of HR data (hires, data changes, terminations)   
  • Payroll-Timecard management: Work with leaders to avoid timecard discrepancies such as time–off balances and leaves of absence. Ensure alignment to time keeping policies.    


Language Capabilities   

• English 


Education Requirements   

• Bachelor’s degree   

• HR Certification a plus (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)  


Technical Requirements   

• Knowledge of Federal and State employment legal requirements including but not limited to Wage and Hour laws, EEO/AAP, COBRA, 
Leaves, FLSA, HIPAA, unemployment and workers compensation   

• Ability to use a full range of technology including: LinkedIn Recruiting, internet and social media, HRIS (ADP Workforce Now desired) along with expertise in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint  


Experience Requirements   

• 5+ Years with full-scope HR Generalist accountabilities   

• Successful track record in high-pace environments  


Mobility & Travel Requirements   

• Accessibility outside of standard business hours   

• Travel negligible (e.g. local venues; work errands)
