We are actively looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management in supporting initiatives at the store level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and Nevada employment law compliance.



  • Payroll: process payroll for each department, maintenance of records in the system including deductions/direct deposits/employee changes.
  • Benefits: Set up/maintain insurance benefits packages for team members, process/audit benefits billing.
  • Recruiting: work with hiring managers to help shape duties/roles and write job descriptions, candidate sourcing, conduct effective prescreens and interviews, give valuable input into selecting the best candidate for hire.
  • Onboarding: Serve as the liaison for integrating new hires into the organization and their new position.
  • Maintain compliance with state of Nevada and local employment and benefits laws, regulations and required correspondence.
  • Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintain employee benefits, healthcare enrollment eligibility, PTO balances and employee attendance tracking.
  • Correspond with NV DETR unemployment office and attend unemployment hearings when required.
  • Attend functions/events associated with this role.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures.
  • Create employee retention programs.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Create and distribute various reports as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Management Team.



  • Bachelor's degree and three to five years of HR experience
  • Benefits administration experience preferred
  • Experience creating employee retention programs
  • Recruiting and on-boarding experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must
  • Strong background in using Excel, Word and payroll processing platforms
  • Approachable professional personality and a non-discriminatory disposition are required
