As the HR Generalist, you will work closely with the Vice President, Human Resources in creating employee experiences that reinforce the choice to be part of Javelin and that deepens personal and professional growth to achieve even better outcomes.

Success for this position requires the ability to proactively perform a variety of hands-on responsibilities that span from daily administrative tasks to developing strategic initiatives. We are looking for someone who is digitally savvy, curious, has a bias for action and that has broad expertise in Human Resources, Training, and Rewards & Recognition and how these initiatives support a high performing culture.

 

What you’ll do:

Onboarding / Offboarding

  • Deliver a personalized and valuable employee experience from beginning to end; including developing new processes and programs that make an impact to achieve desired business outcomes across Javelin office locations.
  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure seamless transitions from candidacy to employment.
  • Serve as liaison with Office Manager regarding employee workspace and telephone extension assignments.
  • Prepare and deliver new employee materials; welcome kits, survival guides, and assets and more.
  • Coordinate and facilitate New Hire Orientation for all full-time, part-time and temporary employees.
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate quarterly Onboarding sessions in partnership with Javelin Ambassadors.
  • Facilitate the exit process by conducting exit interviews, checklists and coordinating return of company property as well as handling termination across HR systems.

Employee Programs

  • Support Culture and Rewards & Recognition related events and programs.
  • Serve as the employee-facing HR business partner regarding general HR, Employment, and Program related matters.
  • Administer Talent Management related programs such as Annual Performance Planning.
  • Support agency meetings and other employee events and activities.
  • Plan and coordinate Annual Health and Welfare Benefits Enrollment and Wellness Week activities.
  • Assist in HR planning and budgeting.

People Operations

  • Assist in the development, launch and analysis of employee surveys, dashboards and other talent metrics.
  • Maintain employee and organizational files and record retention compliance.
  • Maintain current employee data in HRIS, operations related systems and reports.
  • Partner with the HR Manager on payroll changes and employee leave of absence administration.
  • Policy administration, guidance and adherence with statutory and organizational compliance requirements.
  • Provide HR reporting packages and analysis.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions across all disciplines.
  • Craft employee communications related to HR and partner with Communications Manager on messaging.
  • Work on a variety of Ad Hoc and Administrative projects as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (the usual office apps).
  • Proficiency in ADP, SAP SuccessFactors HCM, and other HR / Talent Management platforms such as Greenhouse and SilkRoad software.
  • Ability to successfully manage competing priorities and maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Flexible to embrace change and to work extended hours.

What you’ve got:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of HR coordination / generalist experience in fast-paced, progressive and dynamic environment.
    • Marketing / Advertising agency experience strongly preferred
  • Professional HR Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in practical application of all HR disciplines including organizational design, employee relations, compensation, benefits and talent management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of HR policies, procedures and fundamentals of US employment law.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster trusted working relationships and ability to drive and facilitate an open, collaborative and value-based team culture.
