Our company is in search of an experienced HR Generalist who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise. He or she will assist in providing a wide range of HR support and advice. The successful candidate will have multiple state experience and play a key role in the success of the company by offering guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between employees and managers.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Provide high-quality advice and support to management on employee relations and performance management issues.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors company mandatory training and development programs; maintains and keeps updated the company’s digital recruitment process
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all employees; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Administers sick and leave laws in compliance with Federal and state laws.
  • Manages and follows up on workers compensation claims

 

Requirements

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor degree, preferably from Human Resource Management / business administration or equivalent. Work experience can compensate
  • SHRM certified professional (SHRM-CP) or PHR or SPHR
  • 4-6 years working experience as an HR Generalist
  • Understanding and working knowledge of local labor laws preferably at a multi-state level
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Team player

 

Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
