Human Resource Generalist - AskHR

The Human Resources Generalist will provide core human resources services and support to assigned business units.  Travel to field locations will be required, periodically. 

This roles primary responsibility will be to provide tactical HR support and services to MRO’s workforce in support of the HR organizations goals and objectives.  Work in partnership with Talent Managers, Recruiters and Employees to ensure HR services are implemented and completed timely and accurately.


  • Apply a strong understanding and knowledge of MRO Human Resources practices, policies, procedures and processes to respond to employee
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Corporate HR (i.e. Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Managers) in order to apply a consistent MRO employee experience across the organization
  • Coach first line leadership teams regarding issues that impact the workforce
  • Participate with the implementation of company-wide HR initiatives
  • Conduct employee investigations
  • Assist supervisors with Personal Improvement Plans (PIP)
  • Develop and deliver HR program education throughout the employee life cycle
  • Ensure AskHR mailbox Tier II inquiries are resolved and responded to in a timely manner
  • Train and assist HR Generalist Support Specialists
  • Serve as project manager over HR project(s) and process efficiencies
  • Track metrics and develop KPI’s, identify areas for improvement


  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field of study
  • Minimum 7 years HR experience; preferably serving business units in a HR Generalist role
  • Oil and Gas experience preferred
  • Good presentation and verbal/written communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local employment laws, compensation philosophies, HR operating procedures and best practices
  • Experience conducting, documenting and messaging variety of employee relations issues
  • Experience partnering with client groups to deliver HR solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive in anticipating the needs of the business and developing responsive/supportive HR communications
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
