OnTrac is hiring an HR Generalist

This position is responsible for managing the daily administrative functions of the Human Resources Department to include: recruitment, retention, employee relations, and compensation administration. Preferred 1-3 years experience with employee relations, in-house investigations and project management.

The Regional HR Generalist is responsible for managing the daily administrative functions of the Human Resources Department to include: recruitment, retention, employee relations, and compensation administration by performing the following duties. Preferred 1-3 years experience with employee relations, in-house investigations and project management. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
  2. Process daily paperwork from all facilities as needed.
  3. Assist in development and maintenance of an approved departmental project list to include: personnel file maintenance, job description development, employee handbook revision, I-9 audits, and policy and procedure modifications.
  4. Assist in development and facilitation of management training programs to include: sexual harassment, performance management, customer service, team building, supervisory training, and the new hire/employee orientation process.
  5. Provide consultation and guidance with regard to policy interpretation for federal and state labor issues.
  6. Responsible for the accurate completion, submission, and corresponding results of the criminal background check and MVR pull processes for all applicable employees through continual communication with the facilities.
  7. Responsible for maintaining the results of the criminal background checks, and related documents, and ensuring proper storage utilizing current filing systems and procedures.
  8. Establish and maintain a centralized HRIS and personnel filing system.
  9. Oversee the compiling of data for unemployment compensation claims.
  10. Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.

 

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires 3+ years of progressive Human Resource Generalist experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Incumbent must be of excellent moral character to serve as a role model.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws.
  • Proficiency in Windows applications: Word, Excel, Outlook and familiarity with using HRIS.
  • Preferred, but not required, PHR, SPHR, PHRca, SHRM-CP

  • Advises, consults and coordinates with Facility and Corporate Management to provide assistance regarding employment policies and procedures. 

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands: 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  
  • The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.  
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.  Occasional travel is required.
