Position:      Human Resources Generalist

Status:        Exempt

Reports To: President


The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for implementing and managing human resources policies and programs in the areas of recruitment, employment, employee relations, benefits and equal opportunity employment in compliance with government regulations and company goals. Partner with Leadership to support and implement effective short and long term strategies to attain organizational objectives. Combines HR and Industry knowledge to evaluate and resolve HR issues within a fast paced business environment.

Job Duties:


The Human Resources Generalist’s duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee all aspects of employee relations; ensure company policies are administered fairly and consistently. Provide consultative support to managers and supervisors. Escalate issues to corporate when necessary.

  • Ensure legal compliance with all applicable local state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA and ADA to minimize risk/exposure to the company.

  • Manage Washington L&I to ensure we are receiving best pricing. Communicate with Corporate H.R. on accidents and issues.

  • Communication between Corporate and Corporate H.R. must be transparent.

  • Oversee recruiting and staffing process ensuring compliance with EEO and Labor Relations. Implement employee retention strategies.

  • Maintains employee confidence and protects confidential information including but not limited to payroll and benefits.

  • Conduct employee investigations and oversee all escalated employee issues

  • Establish local network to understand local benchmarks for pay, benefits, vacation, etc…

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of employee benefit programs, ensure benefits are offered timely and paperwork returned to corporate H.R. timely

  • Schedule and track 401K meetings for new hires, forward enrollment forms, meeting signoffs and beneficiary information to corporate.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; establish and maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.

  • Ensure Safety Training is in compliance with local and federal statutes.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty, competency and essential skill satisfactorily.





Minimum 5 years of Human Resources Management experience required.

Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.


Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree, (Human Resources Management preferred).
