The Human Resources Generalist will perform professional HR-related responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, compliance, project management, training, data analytics, performance management, employee onboarding and employee recognition. This position requires a perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. This position also requires an individual that is well versed managing projects from initiation through delivery.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing human resource projects designed to add value to the organization.
  • Facilitates employee training programs to various levels within the organization.
  • Direct interaction with employees and management at multiple sites and with sales field employees to provide superior Human Resources support.
  • Conducts intake meetings with employees and / or managers to help resolve questions, concerns and/or complaints involving workplace conduct, performance issues, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to employees and management regarding interpretation, compliance, and enforcement of Human Resource policies and procedures, state and federal laws including ADA, FMLA and Workers Compensation.
  • Apprises management and employees on the status of issues and concerns being addressed and recommendations or disciplinary actions as appropriate.
  • Manages the organization's random drug testing and new hire orientation
  • Maintains and processes unemployment notices in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Participates in the facilitation of the employee performance management process and ensures performance assessments are done in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for facilitating and organizing various CAREteam events.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Management, Human Resources, Psychology or related field and 2 - 4 years professional-level human resources experience; or any like combination of education and experience.
  • Human Resource experience both in a corporate and manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • HR certification a plus
  • Proven ability to manage projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Firm understanding of employment laws.
  • Strong ability to help resolve employee issues and concerns.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite products.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Enterprise eTime a plus.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Strong initiative, ability to anticipate issues proactively.
