Gordon Brothers has a new and exciting opportunity for a rising HR star to join our Human Resources Team. As the Talent Acquisition and HR Programs, Manager, you’ll play a critical role in attracting, developing, and retaining our most important asset: our people! The successful candidate will be excited about building a career in HR and providing hands-on and forward looking, expertise in areas of talent acquisition, learning and development, employee relations, goal-setting, managing performance, employee relations, and overall program management. The Talent Acquisition and HR Programs, Manager will report directly into the Director, Human Resources. The position is based in our Boston Corporate Headquarters located in the Back Bay.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers to identify and address current and future talent and hiring needs by assessing current workforce capabilities against the needs of the future.
  • Implement creative and cost effective methods for sourcing quality candidates and create employment branding initiatives to attract a broad pool of high quality applicants. 
  • Develop and maintain an active network of sourcing resources including professional networking, agencies, social networking, technology, etc. 
  • Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day employee relations issues and partner with managers to proactively address and resolve employee issues.
  • Support and develop employee learning and development opportunities in partnership with senior leaders either through internal channels or external partners.
  • Lead and implement key Human Resources programs/changes focused on building an enduring organization positioned for growth.
  • Own HR system maintenance, metrics and reporting using various HRIS systems.
  • Maintain working knowledge of company policies as well as legal requirements to provide guidance to employees and managers to ensure compliance and consistency.

Requirements

Education, Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or other relevant course of study. Relevant HR certifications preferred (e.g., PHR).
  • Seven or more years of relevant and progressively responsible Human Resources experience in financial services, management consulting or professional services, ideally including some program management.

  • Demonstrated skill in building constructive relationships with people at all levels in the organization. Not afraid of conflict. Handles conflict diplomatically.
  • Curious learners. Always pushing self to broaden perspective and learn from others.
  • Generates new ideas to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of global, federal and state laws and regulations related to employment practices.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times and comfortable handling confidential information.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), HR systems (Workday, ADP, etc.) experience preferred.
