What We Look For
Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to oversee and build out our internal HR functions. We are currently seeking career-driven individuals who have a strong desire to expand their career and join our growing team. Must have a minimum of fifteen years of recent human resources experience with demonstrated leadership, supervisory and mentoring experience. Must also have an outstanding ability to work with all levels of the organization and to lead change.

Position Overview

Success will depend on the Human Resource Director’s ability to act as a change agent, and fairly and accurately represent the best interests of the firm and its employees. The Human Resource Director is expected to assess and anticipate needs, opportunities, and issues related to human capital, and then develop and implement solutions. The Human Resources Director is expected to lead the “people” function of the firm in order to build a high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment of and ongoing development of a superior workforce. This role will require the Human Resources Director to be “hands on” and actively participate in leading change for this function at WNDE. Existing Recruiting and Payroll/Benefits Administration functions will report to this position. The Human Resources Director will report to the Chief Operating Officer of the firm and will also give regular updates to the Executive Committee.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities 

  • Employee relations and performance coaching at all levels (including Partners)
  • Performance management systems and processes
  • Talent management to identify competency, knowledge, leadership and talent gaps, and to develop specific action programs and training programs
  • Recruitment and staffing
  • Compliance with federal, state and local laws, and pending legislation
  • Employee orientation, development and training
  • Policy development and documentation
  • Company-wide communications
  • Compensation and benefits administration
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
  • Leadership over day to day tactical and transactional tasks



  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple assignments, projects, and responsibilities simultaneously while producing accurate, timely results
  • Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead others through change. Ability to align human resources operations with firm goals
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
  • Open and truthful communication that is non-threatening, fair, and aligned with the firms values
  • Ability to identify and discuss complex issues and present workable solutions in a simple, meaningful, and focused manner with all levels of employees
  • Positive, team-oriented approach required. Ability to adapt own style to influence others
  • Ability to accept difficult situations and tasks and perform with the utmost professionalism. Ability to work in coordination with other operating units (e.g., IT, Marketing, Internal Accounting)
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion
  • Knowledge of current law relating to human resources issues
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems

   Required Education and Skills

The skills and education required for this position are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership/Organizational Development or related field required
  • Master’s degree, PHR/SPHR, and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience

Experience in professional services industry, specifically public accounting is preferred
