Essential Functions:

    • Interacting in a cooperative and professional manner with other team members, supervisors, customers and vendors even in difficult situations
    • Utilize open, two-way adult-to-adult communication
    • Supports achievement of company business plans, strategies and objectives by coordinating the use of shared resources with other departments and locations
    • Ensuring tasks and documentation are completed neatly, completely, accurately and timely
    • Being cooperative, flexible and open to change to ensure a “win/win” outcome
    • Promote exceptional (WOW) Customer Service by building and maintaining effective communication with carriers, vendors internal and external customers in order to develop innovative solutions to meet customer needs and ensure product quality and services are never compromised
    • Providing the safest workplace possible where individuals feel a personal sense of responsibility for their safety and the safety of team mates, to include safe operation of equipment, reporting maintenance needs or unsafe practices, following GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards at warehouse locations, and maintaining a neat and clean work environment free of hazards.   • Coordinating resources and assisting with recruiting and identifying high caliber team members
  • Applying recruitment and assessment processes to assist in ensuring all team members are in the right job at the right time
  • Assisting in training and coaching hiring teams and hiring panels
  • Basic knowledge of all Human Resource related policies, practices, and systems to ensure legal and good business practice compliance by
    • Coordinating resources and assisting in the application of Human Resources policies and practices in a fair and equitable manner


  • Preparing site level payroll for submission to Milford by deadline
  • Coordinating pre-employment paperwork, pre-placement testing, new hire paperwork/orientation, and benefit enrollment
  • Reporting, documenting, and tracking payroll, attendance, changes of employment status, PTO, and performance management system
  • Remaining current on state, federal, and local laws and regulations
  • Performing record keeping and payroll submissions so transactions are error free
  • Scanning and electronic filing of all human resources and payroll related documents in a timely manner
 
  • Team Member Relations
    • Interact effectively and in a positive manner with team members
    • Assure fairness and consistency
    • Assist in facilitating local team member engagement activities and programs
  • Safety
    • Display a conscious concern for team member safety
    • Coordinate resources for safety meetings and local safety programs
  • Recognition
    • Coordinate resources for recognition programs, announcements and awards for outstanding performance
  • Community Relations
    • Assist local management in assuring good community relations by coordinating participation in local community relations programs

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED required with 1 to 2 years of practical experience in Human Resources, preferably in a distribution environment
  • Associates degree Human Resources, business administration or other related field preferred
  • Proficient in computer usage to include email, word processing, spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of Human Resources and Payroll computer software and applications
  • Ability to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sources
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer
  • Ability to utilize equipment for the job (computers, phone, copiers, scanners, printers, etc)
  • Ability to Travel minimal

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Must be able to sit on an almost continual basis and stand, walk, bend, or squat on an occasional basis in a normal office environment
