Exciting opportunity for a dynamic, customer oriented, HR professional with a positive attitude and keen eye for detail, to join a hi-tech, global company and grow their career in the field of Human Resources.

At SES, the worlds largest satellite operator, we are building a new team, with the scope of providing customer-like experience to our employees for Human Resources services, requests, and inquiries. Based in the US, this position is part of the newly created Employee Service Centre team and plays a key role in the delivery of HR services to our employee customers while contributing to the implementation of the function within the company. The role will evolve over time, as the services offered through the Employee Service Centre diversify.  

You will be part of a small but nimble team, working together to support SES employees worldwide. The main focus of the role will be support for employees based in North, Central, and Latin America regions and you will be involved in a variety of activities such as:

  • Serve as Employee Champion and be the first point of contact for employees on HR matters
  • Perform troubleshooting on a variety of issues, requiring the ability to network cross-functionally and leverage relationships to support our employee customers
  • Coordinate different HR processes, such as New starter and Onboarding, Probation Review, Departure, etc.
  • Collaborate with other HR areas of expertise (Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Talent Management, HRIS, etc.) on new and existing programs and process improvement

This is a job-sharing opportunity: two part-time (est. 20h/week) position are open in order to fill this role. The location is flexible, between our offices in Washington D.C., Manassas, VA or Princeton, NJ. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources or related field
  • 2- 3 years previous experience supporting internal customers in a specialized HR capacity
  • Foundational knowledge of HR, including compliance requirements and benefits
  • Previous work experience in Customer Services, Shared Service Centre or Business Process Outsourcing is advantageous
