General Summary: 

The HR Business Partner is responsible for the planning and execution of talent acquisition processes; including, employment branding, sourcing, assessment, selecting, and onboarding.  Also, important is the ability to partner with manufacturing to drive employee engagement, technical competency, performance management, and operational success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment lead for manufacturing
  • Responsible for high quality talent acquisition utilizing the most efficient and effective sourcing and selection techniques
  • Full cycle recruiting; including, recruitment advertising, social media, professional networking, data mining, job fairs, college relations, etc.
  • Responsible for new hire selection process (standardized interviewing, assessments, background checks, drug testing, etc.)
  • Assist in growing college recruitment, apprenticeship programs, and internship programs
  • Responsible for community partnerships (high schools, technical training programs, community colleges, economic development, etc.) to strengthen workforce technical competency and build recruitment pipelines
  • Partner with manufacturing on employee relations, team development, policy interpretation, change management, and other initiatives to align and drive operational objectives
  • Partner with manufacturing on leadership development and communication to drive employee engagement
  • HR projects in the areas of compensation, benefits, performance management, training and development, or other areas as needed
  • Responsible for the onboarding processes and administration of new hire orientation to strengthen culture and welcome new hires
  • Assist with general HR activities; including, benefit administration, compensation, time and attendance tracking, and employee relations as needed
  • Assist with maintenance of HR systems (HRIS, ATS, Payroll, Training, etc.) as needed
  • Assist with development, administration, and execution of AAP
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field from regionally accredited nonprofit college or university required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Five plus (5+) years of experience in Recruitment, Business Partner, and/or Generalist role
  • Experience in biotechnology, scientific, technology, manufacturing, or related industry preferred
  • Experience with recruitment branding, social media, and marketing a plus
