KEY TASKS
Strategy:
Contribute to the operations/business strategy by helping to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes, in line with the organization's strategic goals and core values.
Labor and Employee Relations:
Establish and maintain superior and trustworthy relations by partnering with both management and union leadership. Full cycle responsibility of effectively resolving complex employee and labor relations issues for favorable outcomes and risk mitigation. Direct involvement with matters connected with negotiation and adoption of collective bargaining agreements.
Ensure compliance with all government entities and legal obligations to minimize risk to the organization in all HR related areas
Engagement:
Establishing engagement and on-boarding programs for a favorable and enriching employee experience
People Retention:
Working closely with line leadership, develop effective strategies and reporting/tracking mechanisms to minimize unwanted turnover and optimize full engagement and productive contributions from all employees
Workforce Planning:
Drive effective WP by developing models and working with all levels of management in understanding talent, and planning the headcount and talent pipeline requirements with the business strategy. Setting of roles/responsibilities/performance expectations/knowledge-skill-ability requirements for all active positions.
Policy Administration:
Developing effective and sustainable policies, practices and processes that contribute to company growth and operating efficiency
Performance:
Drive the people & HR processes to maximize people performance to meet current and future business requirements; that headcount needs and productivity targets are met
Position profile
Academic Degree: BS/BA in Business or Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent in professional training and experience required
Experience (years & type of experience): 4+ years of Human Resources experience including knowledge in HR practices, policies & procedures, employee/labor relations, and state and federal labor law or equivalent
Other expertise:
Travel may be required up to 10%
