The Director for Graduate Business Career Services leads an office that is dedicated to providing career services to a diverse student body. The Director fosters strong partnerships with department chairs, faculty, employers, alumni, administrators and the broader career development community in support of Zarb graduate students. Key responsibilities include developing the employer relations network for MBA and MS students; collecting, analyzing and reporting on metrics of success, including career outcomes; and using data to transform the programming and functioning of the Graduate Career Services team.

The Director presently manages a staff of two professionals and two graduate assistants that may grow under new leadership.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Cultivates opportunities with employers that lead to on/off campus recruiting for both internships and full time career opportunities.
• Closely coordinates communication with the dean, department chairs, and other faculty to ensure that the career services department is meeting the discipline specific needs of the academic departments.
• Manages the career services operation to ensure efficient, timely, and effective programs and services to its users.
• Provides career advising expertise to students and alumni regarding the job search process, interviewing, resume, and letter writing, and all other facets of career planning.
• Conducts workshops, seminars, and other presentations to student, faculty, employer, and alumni groups.
• Designs, manages and oversees the delivery of educational workshops, events, and other career focused programming to meet the information and advising needs of international students.
• Assists students in developing the high demand soft skills such as communication skills, platform skills and leadership skills needed to prepare for internships, co-ops, and the job search process.
• Provides statistical and evaluative reporting for current, annual, and trend information for employment opportunities and career development.
• Collaborates with Institutional Research and Assessment to collect and maintain annual job placement data for students and alumni.
• Creates online learning resources to ensure faster and more effective means of delivering career management instruction.
• Provides guidance and leadership to staff, including training, staff evaluation, professional development, and related personnel matters.
• Leads additional special projects related to the mission of GBCS and the Zarb School of Business as needed.


Bachelor's Degree Required. Master’s degree in business preferred. 10 or more years’ experience in industry, consulting or higher education administration. Ability to build sustainable relationships with business leaders that lead to internships and jobs. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent managerial skills. Innovative thinker that can challenge present paradigms and introduce departments to new frameworks and models for career development. Ability to administer and interpret various career assessments. Proficient in data analytics and metrics and how to use information to shape outcomes. Team player in a high functioning department who has the ability to work in a fluid environment with shifting priorities. Strong customer service orientation. Highly motivated self starter, able to work independently, collaboratively, and with great levels of responsibility. Working evenings and weekends and traveling as required.
