We are currently looking to hire a career-minded candidate for the position of Human Resources Director.

The Human Resources Director will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources department. The Human Resources Director is expected to take a leadership role in effectively planning, designing, developing and evaluating human resources-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals. In addition, the Human Resources Director will lead performance management, talent assessment, and effective labor relationships serving as a link between the organization's management and its employees. The Human Resources Director will be responsible for overseeing all HR areas for 3 companies (CA & OR); about 250 employees total. 

• Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters;
• Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance;
• Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters;
• Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed;
• Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations;
• Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program;
• Oversee recruiting efforts for retail and corporate hiring needs; 
• Analyze exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and trends in order to effectively reduce turnover; 
• Works directly with managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters;
• Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization;
• Maintains Human Resources Information System that meets the organization's personnel information needs;
• Supervises, coaches, and develops the staff of the human resources department (Human Resources Generalist and Human Resources Assistant); 


• Bachelor's degree required;
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Preferred
• Bilingual candidate preferred but not required, (English, Spanish)
• Thorough knowledge of applicable CA and OR State and Federal regulations;
• Strong HRIS and computer skills required;
• Highest professional standards regarding internal customer service, confidentiality and ethical conduct required;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills;
• Excellent time management and organizational skills in managing multiple priorities;
