DIVISION DESCRIPTION:

The Marking and Coding Division has manufacturing and sales in the Americas, Europe and Asia. The division is comprised of Diagraph which provides solutions for product identification needs and Industrial Decorating Solutions which provides solutions for adding value to products by “imaging” them for market. Both Groups have vast experience in the development, design, and manufacture of a wide array of foils, hot stamp, pad and thermal printing. The division offers customers a comprehensive, broad portfolio of unique solutions for a wide variety of industrial applications including food & beverage, personal care, industrial packaging, and more. Today the division has 500+ employees and (10) locations worldwide (NA (5); Asia (1); EU (4). 

We are currently seeking a HR Director to provide functional leadership, reporting to the division’s VP/GM and provide strategic human resources leadership to the global leadership team.  

Primary responsibility is to align and execute the HR strategy to influence business success.   This includes: proactive workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, organizational design & effectiveness, labor relations, employee development and engagement.

OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with key department and functional leaders to understand the current and future business challenges, gain trust and build credibility. Understands the short and long term goals of the business and talent & organizational implications. Takes measurable action to minimize the risk caused by these implications.
  • Provides HR thought leadership, data focused and able to provide tactical support to ensure successful implementation and regular monitoring of global HR programs and processes.  
  • Provides performance management guidance to all levels of supervisory and management staff to include coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary action.
  • Works closely with management and team members to improve working relationships, build employee morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides guidance and input on department restructures, change initiatives and talent development and succession.
  • Manages and administers the various HR functions such as recruitment & selection, Union negotiations, grievances, Federal contractor compliance, compensation, training and development, employee relations, record keeping, payroll and all federal/state and global labor compliance.
  • Participates in and provides human resource updates to the business segment HR leadership team.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or business related;  Masters Human Resources or MBA preferred 

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources professional experience
  • Proven experiencing aligning HR strategy to business strategy
  • Union negotiating of contract and conducting grievances experience preferred    
  • Multi-country HR leadership experience is also preferred
  • Prior manufacturing experience a plus
  • Excellent business planning skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral/written communication, presentation & interpersonal skills
  • Business travel up to 30% globally.
