Flexport is looking for a Global Compensation Analyst who will propel us into our next phase of rapid growth. Reporting to the Head of People Operations, this is a new role on our People team and is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of global compensation programs and initiatives. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Implement and support Flexport’s global compensation philosophy
  • Design, build, and lead global compensation programs including base pay and short- and long-term incentives while ensuring alignment with our compensation philosophy
  • Own and evolve the job structure, compensation structure and plan design as business needs change
  • Lead the market benchmarking process for all compensation elements, including survey selection, submission and analyses
  • Partner with our People Business Partners and functional leaders to perform job leveling and job matching for new and existing job functions
  • Lead our semi-annual compensation reviews that are tied to our performance management process
  • Administer our short-term incentive plans which may include monthly, quarterly or annual payment cycles
  • Perform ad-hoc compensation analyses, benchmarking, data modeling, reporting, and problem-solving as needed
  • Perform regular audits of the HCM data to verify accuracy and ensure consistent global application of job and pay structures and plans


What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience in a Compensation Analyst role supporting a global workforce
  • Experience supporting compensation initiatives in a global organization, with preferred knowledge of international pay practices and legislation
  • Demonstrated strong partnership with People team stakeholders, including Talent Acquisition and People Business Partners
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and working knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in the Google application suite; advanced Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel skills
  • Thorough understanding of US employment law governing compensation (such as FLSA, minimum wage, etc.)
  • Foundational knowledge of international pay practices and employment law impacting compensation, preferably in China and EU countries
  • Experience using Radford compensation surveys
  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS or HCM systems desired
