Position Summary/ Objectives:

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for working with Human Resources, management and our employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment. This position ensures that the solid execution of company programs remain consistent with the overall company values. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of Human Resources and can support the strategic and operational objectives of the business. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Act as a strategic partner to management and staff ensuring to implement best practices in all aspects of Human Resources
  • Ability to conduct objective and thorough investigations in response to manager and/or employee relations concerns.
  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment including sourcing and screening candidates, interviewing and the placement and onboarding of quality staff.
  • Assist in the administration of benefits programs, policies, procedures and employee inquiries.
  • Manage Employee Leaves and Disability in accordance with all current applicable state and federal laws.
  • Respond to employee work related injuries and manage the Workers Compensation process.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
  • Partner with HR team to host employee events
  • Provide exceptional customer service with regard to day-to-day HR issues and inquiries
  • Assist with various special ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

Requirements

Education, Experience and Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources related study required. SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred.
  • 5 years progressive Human Resources Generalist experience with strong recruitment experience
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and multiple priorities, in a fast paced environment
  • Experience in a medical device or science related field is a plus.
  • Possess a working knowledge of State and Federal Employment Law
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs and HR Information Systems.
  • Proven experience handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
