SALARY:

$63,444.52 - $99,498.74 Annually, plus Benefits

POSITION:

Under the direction of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Administrator, the EAP Representative serves as a member of the EAP staff and provides a broad range of mental health intervention services to employees and their dependents. The EAP representative provides County departments organizational support aimed at promoting employee mental health and well-being. They provide administrative support to the EAP Administrator; and perform related duties as required. EAP representatives must be available to work a rotating on-call schedule. Travel throughout Ventura County may be required. A hybrid telework/in-person schedule may also be available.

PAYROLL TITLE/APPROXIMATE SALARY:

  • Program Administrator I: $2,440.17 - $3,416.58 biweekly 

  • Program Administrator II: $2,733.21 - $3,826.87 biweekly


Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: Any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skill and abilities required to perform the functions of the job. Typical qualifying experience for the Employee Assistance Program Representative would include:

  • Program Administrator I - Completion of a Master's degree in the mental health care field from an accredited university AND at least two (2) years of post-licensing experience in a setting in which mental health counseling is provided;

  • Program Administrator II - Completion of a Master's degree in the mental health care field from an accredited university AND at least three (3) years of post-licensing experience in a setting in which mental health counseling is provided.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Possession and maintenance of an active California license to practice in a related mental health care field is required such as: LCSW, LMFT, or similar.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must possess and main a valid California driver license.

  • Ability to work a rotating on call schedule.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and technology necessary to conduct virtual meetings and appointments, such as Zoom or MS Teams. 

DESIRED:

  • Experience in developing and providing macro-level projects such as training, and workshops is highly desirable.

  • Experience with Critical Incident Stress Management.
