Position Summary
The Executive Compensation Analyst develops and administers base salary, short- and long-term incentive, and equity plans for the organization's executive positions in order to attract, motivate, and retain top talent. This role supports and is a strategic partner to key leaders, and interprets and ensures regulatory compliance of compensation programs. The ideal candidate for this position has a head for critical analysis and a keen eye for details.

Principle Accountabilities & Deliverables

  • Manages and administers executive compensation programs and ensures competitive pay by participating in and analyzing salary surveys; researching and evaluating market pay practices and making recommendations for salary structure, base pay, variable pay, and long-term incentives; administers and communicates incentive programs; evaluating jobs for external competitiveness, internal equity, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Administers Company’s equity grant program including processing exercises, grants, terminations, and assists with employee questions; updates employee account information and ensures that accurate, comprehensive records of all stock plan activities are maintained; conducts research on peer and market grant practices and assists with the design of the annual stock grant; performs all necessary form filings.
  • Conduct proxy analyses of peer group and other similar sized publicly held corporations to research best practices.
  • Design, model and implement general leadership and specialty functional incentive plans to drive top performance.
  • Manage the process of preparing material for the Board’s Compensation Committee meetings, as well as project managing annual cycle of executive compensation activities and deliverables.
  • Assist in the process of preparing the annual proxy CD&A and disclosure narratives and tables. Research and understand disclosure best practices and how they may apply in UTI’s business context.
  • Serving as an internal consultant, advise the business on executive compensation matters, including developing compensation offers for executives. Manage communications to executives on their compensation packages, including preparing communication content and meeting with executives to facilitate understanding of the compensation program.
  • Work closely with the Legal, Finance, and Tax organizations as well as outside compensation consultant engaged by the Compensation Committee in the design of compensation plans, ensuring downstream implications including accounting treatment and legal/tax compliance have been fully vetted.
  • Understand and apply tax regulations, labor and Securities and Exchange Commission laws, Sarbanes Oxley, Swiss Ordinance Rules, financial reporting requirements and internal governance issues to ensure the design and administration of compensation programs are in compliance. Understand the implications of these regulations to executive compensation planning.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related major, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in broad-based and executive compensation, equity administration, or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of executive compensation programs including equity plan principles, laws, and regulations
  • CCP preferred

  • Excellent business acumen as well as the ability to conduct complex financial analyses

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, and reason for most or all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
