The Employee Relations Specialist/HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as the initial point of contact for all matters pertaining to employee relations issues and concerns and works towards the appropriate resolution of those concerns; acts as an employee champion and change agent; assesses and anticipates HR-related needs; participates in recruitment activities for specific business units; and proactively communicates with the HR team. The Employee Relations Specialist/HRBP is responsible for providing support and direction to hospital leaders on the consistent deployment of employee relations policies and procedures as well as monitoring the consistent application of policies and procedures. The Employee Relations Specialist/HRBP will provide comprehensive intake reports, assemble data with proper analysis, establish relationships with staff and leaders and provide draft grievance responses and written recommendations regarding employee relations issues. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

Requirements

Job Essentials:
Minimum of 3 years of employee relations experience required.

Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.

Exceptional communication, interpersonal and listening skills.
Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent follow-up skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining credibility at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated willingness and ability to collaborate effectively with others to diagnose and resolve workplace issues.
Ability to research and understand confidential materials/issues, salary information, organizational data, and performance reviews.
Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws. and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems preferred

Experience with HRIS systems preferred

Education:
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred
