We have an opening for a Diversity, Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Coordinator who will collaborate in coordinating the development, implementation, evaluation and enhancement of the Firm’s diversity and community impacts programs. This role is responsible for supporting training and initiatives to create and foster an open and inclusive environment. The Coordinator will also assist the recruiting departments as needed. This position can be based in any of our Bay Area offices with travel to our Mountain View and San Francisco office as needed.

Responsibilities Include:

Diversity and Inclusion

  • Assist with the development of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse work force for the Firm.
  • Determine the appropriateness of introducing diversity initiatives and consider the unique needs of the Firm.
  • Plans, organizes and coordinates the development and implementation of diversity programs, projects and activities to meet the mission and strategic goals of the Firm.
  • Manage logistics for all diversity events, including: speakers, attendees, conference room logistics, AV, sign-in sheets and catering.
  • Develops and coordinates or conducts periodic diversity educational and training seminars and workshops.
  • Serves as an expert resource on diversity program information and resources; conducts research, analyzes best practices and provides information, advice and recommendations on program parameters, roles and responsibilities; develops and conducts/coordinates surveys of employee interests, needs and feedback on program effectiveness; using formal and informal methods.
  • Works with our Professional Development Training Teams to create e-learning diversity training materials and coordinate online training.
  • Develop metrics for measuring the effectiveness of the Firm’s diversity initiatives implemented and prepares reports to senior management on the value of the initiatives.
  • Creates monthly newsletter and implement combined programming.
  • Keeps current on diversity programs and developments by maintaining contact with others in the field (e.g., professional association and educational groups, and professional development efforts).
  • Attends and take minutes at the diversity committee meetings and collaborate with event leads.
  • Works closely with both Directors of Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion on diversity projects as needed.
  • Completes external diversity surveys.
  • Plans, organizes and coordinates the development and implementation of affinity group diversity programs and events.
  • Manage logistics for all affinity group events, including: speakers, attendees, conference room logistics, AV, sign-in sheets and catering.
  • Processes diversity sponsorships, coordinates attendee attendance, and collaborates with marketing on promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with Diversity Management on ideas for Fenwick Community Lunches and manages logistics.

Diversity Recruiting

  • Participate in college recruitment and retention efforts for diverse employees.
  • Conduct outreach to minority student group organizations at the law schools and maintain relationships with the leadership throughout their transitions.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinates diverse law school spring receptions.
  • Manage diverse summer associate mentorship program.
  • Coordinate callback interviews for minority law school students.
  • Identify and implement targeted diversity staffing initiatives.
  • Bring attention to gaps or opportunities for new partnerships (i.e., diversity job boards, niche job boards, associations).
  • Collaborate with the staff recruiting team to lead diversity recruiting campaigns and drive college campus events.
  • Partner with the recruiting team and hiring managers to generate ideas, strategize, leverage resources and share information that facilitates a sourcing strategy.
  • Partner with the both Directors of Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion to serve as brand ambassador to represent F&W at various networking & industry events; and proactively identify new opportunities to continually expand network of diverse talent.
  • Maintain appropriate spreadsheets.
  • Perform other related duties and assist with Recruiting Department projects as assigned.

Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Schedule and participate in Firmwide Community Impact Leadership meetings.
  • Manage logistics for community service events.
  • Draft email announcements about CSR events.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of CSR to identify, plan, and implement community impact signature projects in each office.
  • Identify and create content for the CSR website by keep up on activities throughout the Firm.
  • Maintain both the Pro Bono and CSR calendars on Findwick.
  • Coordinate emails, attendance and programming of Fenwick Gives Back Week.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office.


The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
