Director, Professional Development
River Grove, IL

Triton College, a comprehensive two year institution located in a near western suburb of Chicago, is seeking a Director, Professional Development to join our team.

The Director, Professional Development is responsible for the planning, development, and management of the college's employee training and internal talent management initiatives. The Director provides a broad range of talent management, leadership, and professional development opportunities that supports all employee groups across the organization. Serves as a strategic partner to leadership and HR to appropriately align training initiatives with organizational goals.

A. Directs the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the organization

B. Develops a comprehensive and coordinated professional development program for all employees

C. Coordinates workshops, team building activities, e-learning, video conferencing and other learning solutions on behalf of the organization with focuses including leadership, service, and diversity

D. Collaborates with department supervisors and key stakeholders to identify department training needs and skills gaps

E. Develops a comprehensive communications plan to engage campus constituencies in professional development activities

F. Coordinate annual compliance trainings for all employees.

G. Responsible for employee engagement inclusive of employee satisfaction surveys and employee engagement programs/initiatives.

H. Responsible for the design and delivery of the college's new employee onboarding and training program, including new employee orientation

I. Manages employee recognition programs and events.

J. Coordinates new faculty orientations, adjunct workshop, full-time faculty workshops, and employee in-services, College Hours

K. Coaching managers to create development plans for team members designed to provide growth opportunities in role through on-the-job learning, special projects, formal training, etc.

L. Monitor and analyze effectiveness and efficiency of learning programs and recommend/implement appropriate changes; Analyze talent data (Performance Evaluations, Exit Interviews, HRIS data, etc.) to evaluate offerings and identity opportunities.

M. Maintains and updates Professional Development Portal.

N. Responsible for developing and managing the budget of the Professional Development Center

O. Responsible for content within the Learning Management System

P. Serves on Crisis Management Committee and other organizational committees as assigned.

Q. Other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President of Human Resources.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Development, Organizational Development, or related field.

Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in human resources, preferably in training and development, with one year of supervisory experience.

Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Highly organized, detail oriented, and results-driven with an ability to multi-task. Highly creative and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Annual salary of $56,486
