Job Summary/Purpose

  • This position will be hired as a Head of Organizational Development and has primary accountability for strategies, consulting and deliverables that support and drive organizational design, development, effectiveness, and change management across the enterprise. It requires significant interaction with senior business leaders and other key stakeholders. The position will lead a small team of similarly skilled subject matter experts.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Drive business growth and strengthen organizational performance through proven organizational design, organizational development, organizational effectiveness and change management principles
  • Build alliances and partnerships with senior leaders, business and HR colleagues to align strategy, design organizations and manage change effectively
  • Consult leaders across the enterprise in these areas of responsibility
  • Design and deploy tools, frameworks and methodologies to support these efforts
  • Develop communication strategies and prepare materials in partnership with others to support these efforts
  • Maintain oversight of project coordination for assigned initiatives, including planning, monitoring, executing, and reporting
  • Manages and/or coordinates with external vendors/consultants who will support the enabling of large-scale organizational deployment of major initiatives
  • Consistently survey the environment for new relevant emerging models, tools and approaches that would benefit the enterprise
  • Develop and monitor relevant metrics to measure business outcomes

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

  • Typically requires a college or university degree in related field or the equivalent work experience
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development or Organizational Psychology field or an equivalent combination of a completed undergraduate degree, graduate level coursework and hands-on work experience that provides the knowledge and exposure to the theories, principles and concepts of the field necessary to perform the work

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Experience leading major organizational change and transformation
  • Development and use of change management methodologies and/or models to implement organization change initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience consulting with leaders, including identifying needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results/recommendations
  • Multi-disciplinary projects
  • Implementation of enterprise-level systems
  • Strong project planning and management experience; demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Strong consulting skills and experience with influencing leadership
