Remington Products Company, a manufacturer of branded and custom-engineered health and wellness products, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to ensure that all human resources (HR) operations are carried out smoothly and effectively. This position is responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects. Must be an experienced professional with deep knowledge of all HR matters and must be able to manage programs, lead teams, influence and foster company culture while also possessing a strong strategic mindset. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all HR initiatives, systems and tactic

  • Influence and foster company culture and nurture a positive and welcoming environment

  • Developing corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as employee evaluations, compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.

  • Works directly with department managers to assist in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters

  • Develops and implements personnel policies and procedures, maintains and revises employee handbook policies and procedures

  • Communicates with personnel on matters related to the company

  • Maintains compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding human resource related items. (i.e. OSHA, EEOC, Wage and Labor)

  • Works with managers to evaluate human resource needs by reviewing current organizational structure and the company goals

  • Determines effective recruitment strategy to fill vacant positions and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals

  • Manages all benefit plans to ensure high quality coverage and service at the best cost to the company

  • Manages the 401k plan to ensure proper administration of enrollment, deductions, submission of funds and works with legal counsel, auditors and third party administrators on plan design, compliance and audit

  • Assists, monitors and documents all employee disciplinary actions, suspensions and dismissals

  • Processes all paperwork and documentation for new hires, terminations, documentations, Family Medical Leave and other personnel matters

  • Manages all payroll for all companies

  • Represents organization at personnel related hearings and consults legal counsel when need arises

  • Handles all worker compensation correspondence and works closely with the third party administrator to monitor all claims

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in human resources or business-related field, SHRM-CP/SCP a plus
  • 8-10 years of experience in human resources
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and exercise discretion
  • Familiar with the laws, labor market, hour, and wage regulations
