The HR Director will be accountable for leading the HR changes in culture, processes and strengthening the geographic footprint. The role is a Business Partner and Change Agent to drive strategic and operational changes in conjunction with the entire Leadership Team. S/He will be responsible for the Plant facilities overall HR leadership and management to include Training, Talent Management, Compensation and Benefits, Recruiting, Employee Relations and Payroll. This position reports to the EVP of Human Resources with a dotted line to COO. Direct Reports include Regional HR Mgrs and Plant HR Mgrs. Role is based in Ann Arbor, MI with domestic travel of 40-50%.

  • Refine and develop HR policies and procedures for current manufacturing facilities that will be scalable for potential growth via market acquisitions.

  • Promote mentor/coach approaches for all HR Plant professionals; addressing accountability with constructive feedback, building a high performance team, develop autonomy/empowerment and HR Succession Planning.

  • Demonstrate strong work ethics with integrity, honesty, stamina, advance organization and planning skills, effective follow through, adaptive management style, and competent executor of tasks within deadlines.

  • Strategic HR Business Partner utilizing analytical/data driven criteria with hands-on knowledge of all dynamics of manufacturing operations toward alignment of HR vision with company mission, values and growth.

  • Communicator with vigorous leadership approaches to transform an organization going through rapid change.

Requirements

Success Factors:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s and/or SHRM certification a plus.

  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive HR leadership experience within manufacturing operations; Regional HR Plant Management experience a strong plus.

  • Hands-on HR experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Solid experience in Talent Management, Employee Relations and HR Policies and Procedures, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, etc., on an organizational level.

  • Proven communication skills as a HR Leader in an operational or Corporate environment.

  • Demonstrated capability to drive business with significant transformation of a Division.

  • Advance computer skills including, MSOffice, HRIS systems, VISIO, etc.

  • Available for domestic travel of 40-50%.
