Position Summary:


The Director of Human Resources & Operations is a key role at Black Frame. This position requires 6+ years of experience with a high degree of professional accomplishment, strategic thinking skills, excellent management skills and business acumen. The Director of Human Resources & Operations is a primary leader in the company, a strong presence representing the company and employee’s best interests and must therefore be highly attuned to the needs of the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing recruitment efforts, employee training and driving employee growth and development. Along with overseeing IT vendor relationships, office systems management, vendor relationships and office resources.  


-Oversee recruitment and retention plans to meet strategic staffing goals.

-Lead on boarding and off boarding of employees.

-Maintain an HRIS that meets the organization’s needs.

-Provide guidance to Leadership to conduct discussions, reviews and employee notices.

-Drive employee growth and development.

-Establish pay grades relevant to approved positions and internal increase.

-Assist in Organizational Development strategy.

-Design and implement effective methods to shape and impact desired office culture aligned with the larger organizational strategy.

-Perform Benefits administration along with support of Benefits broker.

-Develop comprehensive company manuals and guides.

-Manage and maintain office systems, resources, supplies, equipment and furnishings.

-Manage IT vendor relationships.  

-Maintain office software systems, internal communication systems and subscriptions.

-Oversee Office Coordinator.

Reports to Managing Director  




-6+ years of HR Generalist and Office Management experience.

-Familiar with State and Federal Labor Laws.  

-Ability to work with cross-functional teams as well as independently and in a very fast paced environment.

-Benefits administration. 

-Knowledge of full cycle recruitment.

-Experience with developing and leading organizational transformation projects and initiatives.

-Possess effective facilitation, coaching and counseling skills.

-Proven experience managing vendor relationships, facility construction projects and office systems.

-Strong communications and writing skills.

-Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
