The Director of Employee Engagement will initiate and manage employee programs, events, strategies and activities that align with and support the organizations priorities. 

The role will work closely with others across all areas and all levels on engagement activities, with a heavy focus on inclusion-related initiatives. The Director of Employee Engagement will be responsible for nurturing culture and engagement while overseeing strategies focused on improving the experience between managers and employees. You will also serve as an internal advisor initiating ideas across the organization that influence strategy, engagement, and a collaborative culture that drive pride, passion and advocacy. 

Accountabilities:

  • Create and execute a multi-year strategic roadmap centered around best in class initiatives leveraging data to implement strategies that promote and achieve a culture of excellence and high engagement. 
  • Develop an effective engagement survey by collaborating with key stakeholders across HR and business functions.
  • Deploy and execute an approach that capitalizes on robust employee engagement survey results and implement employee survey strategies that support our business priorities. 
  • Develop and implement comprehensive management and employee initiatives to facilitate company-wide action planning. 
  • Improve employee experience by executing department-specific action plans through coaching and developing people.
  • Supervise and manage staff, as required.
 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business/Public Administration or related area and 7+ years of progressively responsible, broad-based management experience in Human Resources within a large, matrixed organization with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning. Master’s Degree preferred. 
  • Capacity to articulate/outline/implement a strategic plan for the achievement of business objectives. 
  • Skillful in communicating with and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including leadership, employees. 
  • Collaborative, team management, strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Proven ability to assemble, develop, inspire, motivate and retain top talent; a team-builder who enables/encourages the highest level of individual and group performance. 
  • Demonstrated track-record of developing and maintaining a transparent and effective relationship with executive team members.
