The leading privately held multi-state HVAC/R wholesale distributor, R.E. Michel Company, LLC, is looking for a full time Certified Human Resource Professional to fill its Corporate HR Generalist position.  If you are serious about an opportunity for a career with the RE Michel Company, the Corporate HR Generalist position offers potential to grow into an HR Management role. Experience working with a distribution/manufacturing organization is helpful.  

The ideal candidate has, at least, five to seven years’ experience in progressively responsible human resource generalist roles; proficiency in all areas of EEO/Title VII compliance, knowledgeable in both Federal and State employment law, and is an action oriented, highly organized problem solver who enjoys challenges and working collaboratively.

Requirements

Responsibilities include: Federal FMLA and State medical leave administration for all employees. Ensures all HR best practices/procedures are followed. Educates managers on HR policy and compliance requirements. Manages employee relation matters. Experience with E-Verify/work authorization for Form I-9 compliance in a business environment.  Manages Unemployment employer responses and hearings.

Required skills/competencies include:  Ability to maintain confidentiality; effective interpersonal skills; strong computer and database application skills (Excel, Business Intelligence Reporting, Ultipro, etc.) Excellent oral and written communication skills; must also be a good listener. Project management; analysis; prioritizing multiple projects/tasks; negotiation; performance management support including PIPs. Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
