Duties &Responsibilities:

Assist the Compensation Manager to:

  • Coordinate day-to-day compensation activities including job analysis, job evaluation, and benchmarking to ensure competitive market position of salaries, both internally and externally.
  • Assist in evaluation and development of job descriptions
  • Assist in administering the annual compensation process including merit increases, promotions, equity review, and bonus program
  • Develop and document processes to streamline and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Assist the Benefits Manager to:

  • Administer FMLA, ADA, Worker’s Comp and other types of leave
  • Provide audit support for vendor enrollments
  • Provide support by answering employee questions, review claims data, and resolve eligibility and claims processing issues with vendors.
  • Document processes to lead compliance


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, and/or other directly relevant field and/or 4 years of equivalent experience; compensation/benefits certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience administering welfare/retirement benefits; 3+ years of relevant compensation experience performing position evaluations/classifications, analysis, creating/updating job descriptions, and completing salary surveys; 1 year of experience administering leaves of absence
  • Working knowledge of wage and salary management, performance appraisal, and job description programs
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws, including but not limited to ACA, FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ERISA
  • Understanding of Federal and State Wage and Hour Laws, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
  • Excellent computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and benefits/HRIS software (ADP preferred)
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Solid attention to detail
  • The ability to understand how the various functional elements of the business interact to achieve goals
  • Highly organized
  • Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
