The Compensation and Benefits Analyst is responsible for administering various IIE compensation and benefits programs in accordance with IIE policies, plan documents and related laws. The position ensures participation in surveys, maintains up to date data, and ensures all program materials are updated. It is also responsible for working with employees on questions or issues and ensuring all team member and enrollment data are reflected accurately within IIE's HRIS.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for administration of IIE's compensation programs to include annual salary administration, job evaluation process, classification and pricing of new positions and maintenance of market survey data.
  • Serves as main POC for the compensation and job description management tool. Works with vendor on troubleshooting issues and identifying operational efficiencies.
  • Participates in salary surveys, maintains up to date survey data in IIE's systems.
  • Partners with business leaders to solve and manage ad-hoc and recurring compensation pay related issues, including internal equity, incentive design, JEP, and annual merit process.
  • Maintains, edits, and updates Compensation Guide on recurring basis. Reviews domestic and international compensation policies and programs to ensure consistency with IIE's compensation philosophy.
  • Administers various benefits programs which may include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, transportation, FSA, retirement, COBRA and IIE's student loan and tuition reimbursement programs. Ensures that enrollments, changes, terminations, and payments to benefits carriers are carried out in accordance with governing plan rules and processes. Administers annual open enrollment process and implements wellness-related programming.
  • Fields team member questions and concerns regarding their benefits, escalating non-standard issues as needed and communicating resolutions. Works with IIE’s insurance brokers and carriers to address issues pertaining to team member eligibility, coverage, and claims.
  • Manages and administers FMLA and disability-related eligibility requests and tracking. Ensures claims are processed correctly, troubleshoots issues. Communicates with team members, HR colleagues, and management as necessary
  • Participates in IIE’s onboarding program as it relates to benefits to ensure team members gain an understanding of the benefit plan and enrollment requirements.

Requirements

Education and Work Experience:
  • Associates degree with 5 to 7 years related experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with pertinent federal and state regulations, and filing and compliance requirements, affecting employee benefits, compensation and payroll.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office products; extremely strong in Excel, including experience with formulas, macros, and pivot tables.
  • Experience gathering and understanding data sources and requirements for data analysis & reporting.
  • Experience dealing with multiple data sets and structures to develop structured reporting.
  • Ability to design and deliver customized reports.
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to ask the right questions, analyze data, evaluate potential courses of action, and recommend or decide the appropriate course of action.
  • Knowledge of a major HRIS and ability to use systems to acquire necessary data. Experience with PeopleSoft products preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and work under pressure of deadlines.

Essential functions are performed in a general office setting with low noise.
