Reporting to the Sr. Manager, HR Operations, the Compensation & Benefits Manager will manage the communication, implementation and administration of Performance Health's compensation & benefit programs. Specific areas of responsibility include: salary structure management, equity management, executive compensation, annual performance review, special incentives, open enrollment, compliance, renewals and more. This position is a functional manager and does not have direct reports.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities 

Compensation

 

  • Evaluate new job title requests and maintain job title tables in ADP, including job code, description, salary structure, pay grade, FLSA code, worker’s comp, management level and EEO category.
  • Provide expertise on wage & hour employment laws and regulations such as FLSA, minimum wage, overtime, Equal Pay Act and ADA. Facilitate adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by providing counsel. Identify areas of noncompliance and work with HRBP’s on corrective action plan.
  • Research compensation issues to ensure consistent application of corporate compensation policies and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Track and maintain all US and International bonus data.
  • Manage annual merit and bonus process. This includes pulling accurate data from ADP, creating calculations for merit and various bonus plans, consolidating departmental merit proposals for review and approval, creating and distributing employee confirmation letters & providing payroll with accurate merit and bonus data imports.
  • Provide regular reporting to support compensation related analysis as well as provide specific data for various business needs.
  • Conduct periodic job description audits working with managers and HRBP’s to ensure descriptions are accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure total compensation meets requirements of various business needs including annual reviews of programs and requirements, identification of gaps & recommendations for improvements.
  • Create and distribute equity statements in accordance with the plan.
  • Manage executive compensation program and make improvement recommendations as needed.
  • Evaluate field sales compensation initiatives and make appropriate recommendations as needed.
  • Create communications and timeline for various compensation programs as needed including education of compensation related programs.
  • Provide policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Manage special projects, programs, policies, etc. as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Benefits

  • Assist with annual renewal for US (with separate Hawaii plan) & Canadian benefits
  • Coordinate US open enrollment process
  • Respond to employee benefit questions and resolve issues by working with benefit carriers and/or benefit broker
  • Responsible for annual 5500 and compliance reporting
  • Manage distribution of required plan documents and/or notices such as SPD, SAR and others when applicable
  • Responsible for NDT testing and coordination of communication and refunds, if necessary
  • Responsible for annual PCORI filing (FORM 720)
  • Manage ACA requirements and compliance
  • Manage benefit billing in coordination with the HR Specialist
  • Prepare communications as needed
  • Constantly review process for efficiencies and improvements
  • Create/Update process documentation
  • Responsible for COBRA administration
  • Other health & welfare duties as assigned

 

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6+ years of progressive broad-based compensation experience
  • 4+ years of executive compensation experience
  • Field Sales Compensation required
  • Technical knowledge of compensation theory, practices and applicable laws
  • Relationship management
  • High standards of ethical practices
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Global awareness
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong presentation skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
  • HRIS experience, ADP Workforce Now
