Job Summary:

ON Semiconductor is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Analyst to join our fast-paced Compensation team, based in our Phoenix, AZ headquarters. As a Compensation Analyst, you will have the opportunity to administer ON Semiconductor’s compensation programs globally. This position is responsible for conducting complex, large data set compensation and market analysis, interpreting the data, and providing optimal recommendations. The Compensation Analyst conducts audits, researches compensation related survey and market data inquiries and fulfills report requests. Flexibility to manage competing and shifting priorities is essential in this position. The Compensation Analyst requires significant attention to detail and superior excel skills.

Performance Objectives:
  • Conducts detailed analytics and modeling; interprets the data and provides recommendations
  • Administers Compensation programs globally, including annual merit review, bonus cycles & equity 
  • Conducts research and analyzes market data and internal equity to assess and determine the company’s competitive position and formulate optimal pay recommendations
  • Generates Compensation data reports from various surveys and HRIS systems (Oracle)
  • Produces adhoc reports and analyses with quick turnaround, based on business requests
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies
  • Identifies, develops and documents procedures to streamline compensation processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborates on compensation projects such as merger and acquisition integrations
  • Participates in compensation surveys
  • Accurately analyzes and prioritizes details while consistently producing error-free work
  • Acts in a safe manner at all times and ensure that those around them do not put themselves or others at risk
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, human resources, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field
  • Strong analytical, mathematical and computation skills
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite; must have advanced Excel skills (e.g., if/then statements, VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, formulas); Macros knowledge helpful  
  • Knowledge of market data repositories, such as Payfactors is helpful
  • Demonstrated ability to act with discretion, confidentiality and good judgment
  • Self-starter with strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and understand people in a courteous and professional manner 
  • Required to conduct business with the highest legal and ethical standards
  • There are no travel requirements for this position
