Position Summary:

 This position is a subject matter expert regarding all aspects of staff compensation. As a UHR Consultant to assigned areas of the campus regarding Compensation and Classification, the incumbent performs professional level work in the administration, development and maintenance of job evaluation and compensation programs which support the University’s effort to attract, retain and motivate high-quality, mission critical talent. As the campus implements a new Human Capital Management system, this position will play a key role in helping to shape progressive compensation practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Five (5) – Seven (7) years of experience in compensation and classification.
  • Must have strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrated experience using excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have a working knowledge of applicable laws such as FLSA, VEVRAA, 503B, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
  • Experience using Human Capital Management systems and data analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills, proficiency with MS Office.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to details.



  • Higher education compensation experience preferred.
  • Experience facilitating organizational training and/or making presentations preferred.
  • Experience implementing new systems preferred.
  • PHR, CCP or related certification a plus.
