CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (CHRO) – NORTH DAKOTA

Health System in North Dakota has an immediate opening for a Chief Human Resources Officer. This integral member of executive management will be charged with leading and transforming the human resources department into a fully integrated, strategic human resources model. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and convey a new vision of human resources that will bring about a new way of thinking and perspective throughout the health system. The CHRO will advise and partner with leadership concerning a variety of organizational initiatives and work closely within the system to translate strategic priorities into initiatives that promote the well-being of all colleagues.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Process improvement, productivity and creative staffing solutions – will identify options and solutions to challenges and workplace issues
  • Will provide guidance to managers in the areas of employee engagement, recognition, recruitment, staff development and performance coaching
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement programs that drive patient satisfaction and employee engagement
  • Forecast changes in future talent needs and resources requirements to meet the needs of the health system
  • Deliver service and operational excellence
  • Develop a high-performing HR team that is able to proactively partner with all first line and executive leaders
  • Develop market-driven compensation and benefit plans to position the organization in a competitive medical labor market, while balancing the needs of the organization and the interests of the workforce. Develop communication initiatives to communicate to employees the value of their compensation and benefit plans
  • Create consistency in policy and procedures across the organization, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to personnel matters
  • Stay current on human resources practices and trends; anticipate the changing and evolving healthcare environments on a regional and national basis, and the ways this may impact human resources, particularly with talent acquisition, employee engagement, workforce development, employee benefits, employee wellness, organizational development and technology

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Undergraduate degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, industrial relations, organizational behavior or similar area of focus is required – a graduate degree is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in human resources management in a healthcare environment is also required. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is a plus!  Prefer a healthcare background, but this is not required. $175,000-215,000/annually, competitive benefits and moving allowance is also available.
