The Director of Human Resources Management, also referred to as the Chief Human Resources Officer, provides leadership for the University's human resources program. The Director is responsible for the development and integration of recruitment, wage and salary administration, position classification, interpreting and implementing personnel-related policies and procedures, employee benefits, employee records, and employee relations. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for ensuring that all human resources programs and initiatives align with the overall institutional goals and objectives.  

Albany State University is a fully accredited senior unit of the University System of Georgia. Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or personnel administration is required; Master's degree preferred; SPHR certification preferred. Five (5) years of responsible professional experience as a manager or above in the areas of human resources management, employee-management relations, wage administration, or related experience, preferably in a collegiate setting. Thorough knowledge of employment laws, including Equal Employment Opportunity, Fair Labor Standards Act, Affordable Care Act, and the Board of Regents Policies desired. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, interact with executive administrators, faculty, staff, and the public. Ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions to complex human resource issues. Ability to interpret and advise on the application of EEO/AA laws and regulations.
