Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) has launched its national search for qualified candidates to serve as the next Chief Human Resources & Equity Officer (CHREO).
 
Reporting directly to the Superintendent of Schools, the CHREO directly supervises HR Division leaders in the following areas: Compensation/Human Resources Support Services, EEO/ADA Compliance, Employee & Labor Relations and Talent Acquisition & Operations (Instructional and Non-Instructional).
 
BCPS is the sixth largest school district in the nation and the second largest in the state of Florida. BCPS is Florida’s first fully accredited school system since 1962. BCPS has over 271,500 students and approximately 175,000 adult students in 234 schools, centers and technical colleges, and 88 charter schools. BCPS serves a diverse student population representing 204 different countries and 191 different languages.

Our next dynamic Chief Human Resources & Equity Officer should possess the following:

  • Demonstrated Strategic HR Management/Senior HR Generalist work across all HR functions
  • Strong collaborative leadership ability to execute HR initiatives in a matrixed environment
  • Manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with experience aligning HR as an organizational Business Partner
  • Demonstrated experience to build consensus in decision making with multiple stakeholders
