Basic Purpose:


This newly created position will lead Eaton Vance’s global diversity and inclusion strategy and work with managers across the firm to create and deliver initiatives designed to foster a culture of diversity and inclusion at Eaton Vance. The Chief Diversity Officer will report to the Director of Human Resources and work out of our Boston office.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Human Resources and department managers to advance diversity and inclusion strategies, programs and policies that will attract, develop and retain a diverse workforce and foster an environment of inclusion.
  • Ensure an integrated alignment of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) and business objectives across Eaton Vance and affiliates globally.
  • Create an annual business plan and strategy that outline recruiting, learning & development and retention activities, goals/objectives and key metrics.
  • Monitor diversity metrics and report on the results to the Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council and Management Committee.
  • Chair the Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council and prioritize initiatives and resources for enhancing diversity and inclusion.
  • Keep current on diversity programs and developments by maintaining contact with other leaders in the field and share best practices and trends across the firm and with our affiliates.
  • Identify and manage relationships with external partnerships and key diversity organizations on behalf of Eaton Vance.
  • Represent Eaton Vance at conferences, industry events, etc. to promote Eaton Vance as a D&I employer of choice.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in building and delivering a comprehensive D&I strategy at a global organization with proven results
  • 10+ years’ experience in business management or HR. Familiarity with financial services is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to drive and achieve business objectives
  • Demonstrated sound judgement; effectively handle confidential information
  • Aligned with Eaton Vance’s Core Values

  • Ability to influence all levels of the organization
