Are you a fantastic, experienced, People & Culture Business Partner?

If so we need you to join our small, global, People & Culture team! Your role would be part-time (25 hours per week) but hours/days may be flexible. You will be located in our Reno, Nevada office, reporting to our Chief People Officer, based in Sydney Australia. Some domestic travel is involved

What you’ll be doing:

You will be first point of contact for our people in the USA and will:

  • Provide support, guidance and advice to the leadership team on all aspects of employment matters and participate in regular leadership team planning and review sessions
  • Provide practical and proactive coaching, operational HR and administrative support for Phocas people leaders in all areas of the employee life cycle including recruitment, on-boarding, off-boarding, remuneration, learning & development and performance
  • Support our wonderful team members across the USA with career discussions, development plans, employment matter advice and policy/process questions
  • Work with the global People & Culture team to develop and deliver local and global plans and projects which improve our people practices and nurture our awesome culture
  • Build Phocas's employment brand in the USA market by social media, careers fairs and outreach activities
  • Manage all aspects of the USA benefit plans including broker relationships, benefits administration and open enrolment processes
  • Maintain and advise on HR and state and federal employment matters
  • Maintain up to date and accurate employee records within our HRIS and various other systems
  • Design and develop on-line learning content in the Learning Management system
  • Be responsible for all aspects of Work Health & Safety across our USA locations


Requirements

You will need to demonstrate your value in partnering with the business, and be a key collaborator within the global People and Culture team. You will of course be tertiary qualified in human resource management, a strong HR generalist, technology savvy particularly with hands on experience with contemporary people systems (HRIS, ATS, and LMS) and be a capable project and change manager. More importantly you will have the following attributes:

  • Can make decisions reasonably quickly using data, intuition and judgement
  • Facilitate solutions which deliver the right outcomes for people, aligned with our culture
