Western Peterbilt is hiring for an HR Benefits Specialist. The HR Benefits Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all group insured benefits programs and all leave benefits including FMLA, ADAA, CA/ WA Paid Leave, Workers Compensation, Sick/Vacation Leave and plays a highly visible role as the wellness advocate providing leadership for the wellness program. 

Insured Benefits

Travels to facilities throughout the company’s AOR to advocate the wellness program.
Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
Processes insured benefit enrollments, COBRA, terminations of coverage, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims.
Oversees maintenance of employee benefits files, maintains group benefits database and updates employee payroll records.
Gather employee data and oversees the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
Develops communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package.
Assist with the design and distribution of materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment.

Workers Compensation
Processes all Accident Reports
Reports, maintains, and monitors all Worker’s Compensation Case files; follows-up on open cases.
Prepares Light Duty Job Descriptions
Tracks KOS (Kept on Salary) Program

Leave Benefits
Responsible for processing FMLA, ADAA, CA Paid Family Leave, WA Paid Family Leave and Pregnancy Leave, including coordination of all leave benefits both State and Federal

Minimum Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Three years of employee benefits experience. 
Working knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting employee benefits programs, including ERISA, FMLA, ADAA, Section 125, COBRA and Workers Compensation
Ability to travel 20% of the time
