Rite-Hite is the global leader in the manufacture and distribution of industrial loading dock and door equipment.   Our innovative products and world class sales organization ensure solid, consistent growth, both for our company and staff.    Due to our continued growth, we have an opening for a Benefits Manager at our Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI.  

 

Job description:

Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, this position is responsible for administration of employee benefits for all U.S. and Canadian based employees. This will include the following:

  1. Ensure competitive benefits offerings required to attract, retain and motivate our greatest asset, our employees.

  2. Administer employee benefits programs including health care, long term disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits, wellness and retirement plan including maintenance of records for all benefit plans.

  3. Maintain regular contact with benefits vendors as required to ensure effective and accurate data exchange resulting in smooth and timely benefits administration.      

  4. Ensure effective administration of internal company leave programs as well as those required by law, FMLA, etc.

  5. Work through broker to obtain vendor proposals as needed.   Evaluate proposals and develop recommendations for Director, Total Rewards. Develop company cost information for new plans and make premium cost share recommendations.

  6. Install approved new plans, or changes to existing plans by preparing announcement materials, plan summary documents and other media for communicating plans to employees.   Conduct employee meetings and arrange for enrollment.  

  7. Prepare and execute, with legal consultation, benefits documentation, such as original and amended plan text, benefit agreements and insurance policies.  

  8. Assure company compliance with provisions of ERISA and the Affordable Care Act.   Supervise preparation of reports and applications required by law to be file with Federal and State agencies, such as the IRS, DOL and other regulatory agencies.

  9. Handle benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.   Maintain contact with insurance vendors, employees and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees.

  10. Process premium payments as required.

  11. Position will require approximately 5% travel to other company locations.

  12. Position will supervise a Benefits Specialist.

Requirements

Required education /experience:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and five years of experience in benefits administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of one year supervisory experience required.

CEBS designation preferred.   Experience with Ultipro HR system a plus.
