Your Role:

 

Evaluate, design, develop, implement and manage benefits programs and compensation solutions at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). Coordinate the rewards and recognition program, leaves of absence, compliance and survey participation.

 

 

 

Pay, Schedule & Benefits:

 

  • This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position. Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday during daytime business hours.

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Administer FMSC’s benefit programs. Analyze usage, cost and gaps and develop strategic recommendations. In collaboration with VP of HR and benefit vendors, lead the evaluation, design and implementation of benefit solutions.

  • Conduct compensation analyses using market data. Partner with HR staff to recommend compensation offers, increases and changes.

  • Administer annual merit increase and incentive pay cycles. Define processes, write communications, coordinate with Accounting and payroll vendor, evaluate merit increase recommendations and organize data.

  • Document, streamline and continuously improve processes, procedures and policies.

  • Design, implement and evaluate FMSC’s total compensation practices (base pay, increases, incentives, etc.) and identify challenges and opportunities to improve. Collaborate with the VP of HR and external advisors to identify and implement changes. Provide analysis to support recommendations.

  • Administer rewards and recognition programs and leaves of absence as assigned, including FMLA leaves. Administer paperwork, tracking and compliance. Communicate with employees, managers and HR Generalists on leave planning and returns to work.

  • Ensure compliance with benefits and compensation laws and regulations. Monitor changes, measure business impact and recommend courses of action. Manage compliance filing processes (Form 5500, ACA, etc.).

  • Write internal communication pieces. Anticipate information needs (quarterly incentive updates, open enrollment, new employee orientation, etc.), and create custom emails, presentations, webinars and meeting agendas tailored to each audience. Promote a healthy employee culture through positive, professional interactions.

  • Participate in compensation and benefits surveys.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Your Qualifications:

  • Commitment to support, promote and authentically communicate FMSC’s Christian mission and goals.

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in related field and 3 years of experience in benefits evaluation, design and administration required. Experience administering compensation programs preferred.

  • Advanced competencies with MS Excel. Proficient with MS Office Suite and HRIS software.

  • Thorough understanding of employment-related federal and state regulations (ACA, ERISA, FLSA, etc.).

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Excellent strategic, creative and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated experience improving processes and procedures.

  • Self-starter capable of working independently and exercising sound judgment.

  • Able to prioritize, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.

  • Able to use discretion and safeguard confidential information.

  • Strong organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy and follow-up.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with public speaking.

  • Strong customer service skills. Able to professionally interact with all levels of internal and external contacts.
