Bertelsmann is looking for an Associate Manager, Human Resources to join our team. We are a rapidly growing global organization that offers a great opportunity for someone interested in further developing their HR career. The Associate Manager, Human Resources is primarily responsible for recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding under the guidance of the Manager, Human Resources. Additionally, the Associate Manager, Human Resources provides excellent customer service and data metrics to internal and external stakeholders.

The Associate Manager, Human Resources is part of the Benefits & Human Resources team, which has responsibility for many areas of HR supporting our New York office as well as our subsidiary companies within the United States, including Straightaway Health Careers, BMG, FremantleMedia, smaller holdings, and any new acquisitions.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage recruitment, screening and interviewing of potential employees.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop creative strategies to find talent.
  • Prepare job offers.
  • Create a welcoming and engaging candidate experience beginning with the application process through onboarding.
  • Responsible for the onboarding experience, including coordinating with IT, security, operations, and conducts orientation for new employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews and develop recommendations for ways to decrease turnover.
  • Ensure proper document retention in accordance with statutory and internal business practices.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 4-7 years of work experience; Experience recruiting for healthcare or software as a service is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience required; SHRM certification preferred
  • Must have strong analytical capability and the ability to work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation and comfort with analysis
  • Solid interpersonal skills and client service orientation with focus on high quality service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate information across a large organization.
  • Must be flexible; have the ability to work independently or as a team player in a fast paced and decentralized environment
  • This candidate must be a self-starter with strict attention to detail and the ability to multi-task a variety of assignment seeing each to resolution
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
