    Full Time

The position is available in Boston, Seattle, Washingon D.C., and San Francisco

About the Position

Talent Rewire engages employers to advance equitable access to economic opportunity by increasing opportunity, stability, and economic mobility among low-income employees. We support employers to rewire their internal systems to hire, retain and advance populations that face barriers to sustainable employment through an employer community that accelerates learning, builds momentum, and serves as a marketplace of ideas and best practices. We use experiential learning, user-centered design + system thinking, and unlikely collaboration.

Our ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Cares deeply about disrupting the growing income inequality in our country and the impact this is having upon low-wage employees, particularly people of color
  • Believes employers, investors, and business leaders are vehicles for change in restoring dignity, stability and economic mobility in the workplace
  • Believes systems hold problems in place and are responsible for the outcomes we see today, and are motivated to influence employers to change their internal talent systems
  • Loves designing and facilitating innovative learning experiences (think user-centered design or improv) that shift both beliefs and behaviors
  • Enjoys fostering community and collaboration amongst organizations – who in some circumstances, see each other as competitors
  • Is excited by our approach to employer engagement

The Associate Director will support all aspects of Talent Rewire, from developing programming for our employer community, to facilitating in-person gatherings, to coaching employers in our community, to researching tools and best practices, to writing funding proposals. The Associate Director will report to the Managing Director of Talent Rewire.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Talent Rewire Directors to design and facilitate Talent Rewire programming including, but not limited to, the annual Rewire Convening, Rewire Labs, Rewire workshops, and Community Conversations
  • Coach employers participating in Rewire Labs to design, implement, and evaluate a talent pilot
  • Contribute to the initiative’s strategic direction encouraging greater employer adoption of Opportunity Employment
  • Research, develop, and codify Opportunity Employment tools and resources to be shared with the workforce field
  • Contribute to Opportunity Employment knowledge development by blogging, authoring case studies and curating user generated content
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to encourage Opportunity Employment and employer practice changes that improve business value and the lives of low-wage, front-line talent
