Assistant Director of Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations

As a key member of the Human Resources team, the Assistant Director (AD) will work closely with the Associate Director of Talent Strategy and the VP of HR to implement the College’s talent acquisition and employee relations strategy.  The AD will partner with leaders from across campus to develop a pipeline of top talent and will serve as a point person throughout the full recruiting and hiring process, as well as an employee liaison to address employee relations concerns.  In addition, the AD will be closely involved with strategies and initiatives regarding performance management, professional development, retention, and employee engagement.

Requirements

5+ years of HR generalist experience with experience in full-cycle recruiting experience, as well as addressing and investigating employee relations concerns, preferably in an education setting or similar work environment.

Proven success developing creative sourcing strategies including the use of social media platforms.

Deep knowledge and application of employment policies, procedures, and best practices, as well as state and federal employment related regulations.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.  

PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Proficient utilizing HR systems, preferably Workday and/or PeopleAdmin.

Ability to work effectively at both a strategic and tactical level.

Ability to utilize and analyze data to guide decision-making.

Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and creativity skills.
