About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and resourceful Talent Acquisition Specialist with 4+ years of experience, including 2+ years in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry, to join our HR team. This role will be instrumental in driving full-cycle recruitment efforts, building strong candidate pipelines, and supporting our global hiring initiatives.
This role will require periodic travel to HLB offices and/or college recruitment fairs throughout the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles across the organization, with a focus on AEC-related positions.
- Partner closely with the HR team members to align hiring strategies with firm goals.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract diverse and qualified candidates, including international talent.
- Manage and optimize our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), with a strong preference for Greenhouse.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and international immigration laws, including visa sponsorship processes and global mobility support.
- Analyze recruitment metrics and trends to inform data-driven hiring decisions and improve process efficiency.
- Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment partners, universities, and industry networks
- Champion HLB’s employer brand through creative outreach and engagement strategies.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in the AEC industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, HR Management, Social Services or related field.
- Proven experience recruiting internationally and navigating immigration and visa processes.
- Proficiency in ATS platforms; Greenhouse experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong team collaboration.
